School milk has been a good supplement for school mealtime since the 70's. In the beginning, it was mainly one type of milk that was provided, but since that time, the selection has grown.
In 2010 skolemelk.no was started, and through it, milk could easily be ordered online. In recent years, other products have been added to the range of choice, including fruit drink and yoghurt.
Now that the scheme has been extended to more than school milk we have decided to change the name to Skolelyst. Skolelyst facilitates the addition of food and drinks throughout the school day.
When we asked parents for their feedback we received 23,496 responses from children’s guardians in the country. Clearly, by far guardians wanted a greater product selection and more flexibility, and this we have provided!
There will be an even greater variety in the product range in conjunction with the launch of Skolelyst. Now it will be possible to order a wider variety for the school mealtime:
The method for making your purchase order is new; so now it's even easier to post the purchase order and ensure tasty food and drinks for the school day.
There is more flexibility in ordering then previously. Now you can set up the week to suit your child’s needs. Do you perhaps need an additional extra for football training on Wednesday’s? Then it might be a good idea to add a smoothie for the day. The flexibility also makes it possible to order for example a low-fat milk every day, but switch to some chocolate milk on Fridays. Now you have many possibilities!
To launch Skolelyst we also received input from 450 schools. Some of the contributors wanted simpler administration. To meet this request, we have improved the distribution routines and made the registration on the website more user-friendly.
Some schools will get the pre-packaged class set, while other schools will create a pupil program where students help to pick and distribute the products.
We've created a new portal that is easier to use than before and thus, the registration is faster and more transparent.
It, of course costs nothing for schools to be included in TINE Skolelyst.
